Add Gate Doctor to your server

Here's exactly what you're granting and why — in plain language. We never request Administrator.

Permissions Gate Doctor will request

Eight permissions. Each one maps to a single feature you'll actually use.

  • Manage Roles

Lets the bot grant verified members access and remove the pending tag.

  • Manage Nicknames

Keeps your roster readable by mirroring each member's submitted in-game name.

  • Kick Members

Used only when an approver explicitly taps Turn Away. Never automatic.

  • Send Messages

Required to post welcome embeds, intake cards, and audit log entries.

  • Embed Links

Renders the welcome card, intake card, and log entries with proper formatting.

  • Read Message History

Lets the bot work correctly inside the four channels you configured.

  • View Channels

Without this the bot can't see request-access, welcome, intake-log, or server-log.

  • Use Slash Commands

Powers the /gatedoctor commands you'll use to configure and verify the bot.

No Administrator

We use the principle of least privilege. Administrator gives total access to your server — Gate Doctor doesn't need it and we won't ask for it.

Don't forget role hierarchy

After inviting, drag the Gate Doctor role above your Member and Pending roles in Server Settings → Roles.

Ready when you are.

You can revoke or adjust permissions any time from your server settings.
